Leap Day, February 29th, arrives once every four years — and 2016 is one of them. The reason there are 366 days every four years instead of the standard 365 is to remain in sync with the true astronomical year. It actually takes the Earth approximately 365.24 days to orbit the Sun, so Leap Year allows it to play catch up.

Chick-fil-A– Check with your local Chick-fil-A, but we’ve caught wind that some locations are offering free chicken sandwiches if you stop by 29 minutes past the hour all day on February 29. Others have a keep your Leap Day receipt. Eat at Chick-Fil-A on 2/29, hold onto your receipt and get the same order at a later date. Again, check your local stores!!!

Houlihan’s:– Guests with a Feb. 29th birthday, who dine at any of Houlihan’s 72 locations across the nation on Monday, Feb. 29th, will receive a FREE entrée (with photo identification). They will also receive 28 additional FREE entrées to redeem on a return visit at any Houlihan’s in the next month.
